In response to the Government’s initiative for
the development of ten Eco - towns in the UK, St
Modwen and The Bird Group have proposed to build
a technically advanced Eco - town on a 240 hectare
(600 acre) rail linked brownfield site, six miles from
Stratford-upon-Avon.
It is our vision that this development will not only
create considerable employment for its residents
and neighbours, but it would be a self supporting
town where the quality of life and a well balanced
environment are designed to be at the forefront of
our objectives.
Middle Quinton will be an integrated advanced Eco - town, benchmarked to sustainable standards, which we believe will be a blueprint for future communities to aspire to high Eco standards.
Further to the submission to Communities and Local Government of an Ecotown proposal for Middle Quinton, St Modwen and The Bird Group considered it important to provide additional information in respect of the environmental technology and sustainable construction methods, together with the social fabric which will underpin the new Eco-town.
